It is great to know that over 25 copies of our Lent book have been ordered. Try to get into the rhythm of reading the relevant chapter (just 4 pages) each day and see the masterful way that Bishop Andrew Watson weaves together the narrative of the people of Israel escaping Egypt and journeying in the desert over 40 years, and the story of Jesus in the wilderness where he was tempted for 40 days. Resist the temptation to read ahead. Part of the value of this is the rhythm of a daily encounter over the season of Lent.
We are looking forward to the Lent Course staring next Tuesday 20th. Mark and Caroline Blamey will be sharing the leading of these evenings with Sheila and I. There will be plenty of time for fellowship together as well as reflecting together on the book. 7.30 at the Vicarage.
